Marc Bagnasco, LPC (Therapist)

Marc is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been practicing in Arizona since 2002. He works with individual adults, couples, families and adolescents (16 years and older he does his best work with) to improve their quality of life by strengthening/developing/utilizing problem solving skills, improving interpersonal relationships, managing/regulating emotions, increasing motivation for change, and overcoming past traumatic experiences so as to live more freely in the here and now.
Marc was trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy by The University of Chicago Hospitals as well as Marsha Linehan’s Behavioral Technology Group, LLC., Marc specializes in the treatment of clients diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, the spectrum of behaviors associated with other personality disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, grief/loss, marital distress/conflict, mood and other anxiety disorders. Grounded in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, he integrates his formal training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy with Interpersonal Psychotherapy approaches to help clients achieve their goals.
Professional member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, Marc is currently expanding his practice to include Health Psychology in order help clients cope with the myriad of psychological issues/stressors associated with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases both pre and post-operative with evidence based treatment approaches including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Distress Tolerance skills. Teaching family members various acceptance, change and motivation strategies gives them and the client living with I.B.D. and other chronic autoimmune illnesses the best chance of improving quality of life and actualizing to their fullest potential.
Marc has had the pleasure of working with world class professional athletes during his years as a teaching/playing tennis professional in Chicago and continues to offer cognitive/behavioral/mindfulness-based psychotherapeutic services to athletes wanting to reach and exceed their fullest potentials as he has done throughout his counseling career.
