Getting started begins with a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. During the call, we will talk briefly about what you are looking for, answer initial questions, and determine whether Healing & Wellness is a good fit for your needs. If another provider or service would be a better fit, we will help point you in the right direction. To schedule a consultation, call 480-803-1500 or complete the contact form.
Therapy may be right for you if you feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, stressed, disconnected from yourself, or unsure how to move forward. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. At Healing & Wellness, we help you better understand what is getting in the way and build practical tools for meaningful change.
Before your first session, you will receive access to the client portal to complete paperwork ahead of time. Your first appointment is an intake assessment, which means we will focus on learning what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, your goals, and any background information that may be helpful. This helps us begin creating a therapy plan that fits your needs.
Friends and family can offer meaningful support, but therapy provides a private space focused entirely on you. A therapist brings professional training, objective perspective, and tools to help you better understand patterns, manage stress, and work through challenges. Therapy also protects your privacy and reduces the pressure of relying only on loved ones for support.
For clients who are not using insurance, out-of-pocket rates vary by therapist. You can find current private pay rates and additional details on each therapist’s individual profile page.
Yes, our therapists accept insurance, but each therapist may be on different insurance panels. Please check each therapist’s profile to see which plans they currently accept. If we are out of network with your insurance, we may be able to provide a superbill so you can request reimbursement if your plan includes out-of-network benefits. For more details, visit our Rates and Insurance page.
If we are not in network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to use out-of-network benefits if your policy includes them. We can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider to understand your specific out-of-network coverage and benefits.
Appointment availability varies by therapist. Please see each therapist’s profile page for scheduling information and current availability.

Yes, we offer secure, confidential telehealth sessions for clients located anywhere in Arizona. Telehealth allows you to receive therapy from the comfort of your home or another private space, while still getting personalized support that fits your needs.
Therapy sessions are tailored to your needs, goals, and pace. Depending on what brings you to therapy, sessions may include discussing current concerns, understanding patterns, learning coping strategies, processing emotions, and working toward meaningful change in daily life.
You can get the most out of therapy by sharing what feels helpful, asking questions, and practicing new skills between appointments when appropriate. Progress often comes from both the work we do together in session and the small steps you take in daily life.
The length of therapy varies based on your goals, needs, and what you are working through. Some clients come for short-term support around a specific concern, while others choose longer-term therapy for deeper growth and ongoing support. Your therapist will check in with you about progress along the way and adjust the focus of therapy as your needs evolve.
Therapy sessions typically last 45 to 60 minutes and are often scheduled weekly at the beginning of treatment. As you make progress and maintain improvement, sessions may be spaced farther apart. If you are using insurance, session length and frequency may also depend on your plan’s coverage and requirements.
Yes. Many clients return to therapy when new challenges, stressors, or life transitions come up. Returning for support is not uncommon and does not mean you failed. It means you recognize when additional support would be helpful and are choosing to take care of yourself.
